Hello, hello
So yet again I am apologizing for the lack of posting. Sienna has been working me hard these past few days. She is on the move! Not quite crawling but with the rolling and creeping she can defiantly move! Needless to say- I have to constantly be watching her! Any time I have a free moment I generally have 10 million things to do (like take a shower!) so blogging gets pushed aside. I’m going to work on keeping it up!
Thanks to everyone who gave me ideas/tips on how to cut my grocery budget. I find just bringing a calculator and adding as you put things in the cart really helps! Unfortunately it means trying less fun products and getting more “staples” to cook and bake with so I actually have to make things to eat! I actually like this- its nice to have things like homemade soup and cookies on hand.
On to breakfast- this morning I tried something out. I had a fruit and nut plate to start my day (since fruit should really either be eaten alone or with nuts). I had one banana, one apple (small), 1/3 cup raw walnuts and after I took the picture I added some cinnamon! It was so good! The fruit were perfect and went so well with the nuts- the cinnamon really enhanced the flavors. I will defiantly be doing this more often.
I also had a bowl of oatmeal made with almond milk about an hour or so after my fruit plate.
Have a great morning!

what brand/kind of oatmeal do you buy? is it rolled oats? or quick cooking?
and your fruit plate looks yummy! what is sienna’s fav. fruit flavor?
I definitely know what you’re going through. I have an 11 month old niece who’s starting to crawl everywhere, almost walking! It’s crazy how careful you have to be.
I hope you have good luck with buying food! I use my cell phone calculator when I need to. It’s tough, but it’s a good sacrifice. =)
That fruit plate looks great! It’s a very neat idea. When I try to eat more raw I eat fruits with nuts and it’s always satisfying. But so is oatmeal with almond milk (my new obsession)
ahh, Brianne, hang in there - I understand/can relate to the craziness, although I’m sure it’s MUCH harder for you, with an infant, since you’re caring for two! I commend you for keeping up with blogging - be sure to rest! :0)
your fruit & nut plate and oatmeal look stunning - yum!!
Emma- I either use rolled or steel cut. Steel cut is my first pick but rolled is great when I need something fast! I usually just use quick for baking. Sienna is slowly getting into solids. Banana is by far her favorite and was all I could get her to eat for a while but today she decided she liked apples too! It was a major breakthrough! =)
