Oatmeal to Go!
Good morning! I hope everyones day is off to a great start. Spring is in the air!
This morning I had overnight oatmeal- I put 1/2 oats and 1/2 almond milk in a bowl and left it overnight in the refrigerator. In the morning I had oatmeal to go! You can heat it up or leave it cold, I choose the latter. Its a nice way to have oatmeal in warmer weather.
I topped my oats with fresh strawberries and banana, a few crushed pecans and a drizzle of agave nectar.
I also had white tea.
I’m going shopping with my mom today to get Sienna some new clothes- she grows so fast! We basically have to buy her a new wardrobe every 3 months! Lucky Girl.
Hopefully I’ll also get some baking in today… I’m thinking muffins??

what kind of muffins….
Spring is definitely in the air! One week until it’s official. I hope it doesn’t snow…eeesh.
I must try this idea of making breakfast at night so it’s ready in the morning. Sometimes you’ve just gotta have oatmeal when you’re on the go!
Aww, new clothes, I love baby clothes!
Ah babies and their constant growing… what fun.
I love overnight oatmeal! I use the exact same recipe, although I have never tried it with agave nectar. Thanks for the tip!
Hooray for spring FINALLY starting to make an appearance - the weather here was amazing, for the first time since… hmm… I can’t even remember! haha ;0)
Oooh, another explosively delicious bowl of oatmeal - great idea, making it the night before! That would definitely save time in the morning, before classes (I’m always rushing, haha).
Aww, have fun shopping for baby clothes!! Sienna will look beyond adorable in them, for sure.
Never heard of overnight oatmeal, sounds pretty good
So glad I found your blog! I’m a big fan!
I posted this on an early day, but I am not sure if you saw it, so I am reposting.
I have two questions, how do you make your garlic toast and how do you make your roasted broccoli. I am new to cooking! Do you buy raw broccoli, wash it or prewashed broccoli? I don’t even know how to clean a broccoli!
All your food looks so good and your daughter is so so cute!
Everything you post looks so good! Especially the bowls of oatmeal…
Lauren
Marcy- I made the garlic toast by slicing a garlic clove in half and the “grating” it on a frozen piece of toast. The toast has to be frozen so the garlic will grate. Then I spread a bit of smart balance or olive oil on top and sprinkle with salt. I put it in the toaster oven (or reg, oven) for 8 min at 400 C! Its so easy!
For the broccoli I use raw broccoli (cut stem off first and then wash in water- and pat to dry) and toss it in some olive oil, salt and garlic. I put it in the oven for about 30 mins or until broccoli start to brown at 400 C. Hope that helps!
Welcome to cooking!
Thanks for all the pleasant comments guys!
Where have you been Miss Brianne? I miss your posts!
that’s it! I give into the oatmeal gods and will have a bowl tomorrow. no more hesitating!
