Oh Poo…
You will have to forgive me yet again for my not so great blogging lately. I needed a bit of a break and I couldn’t even post to say that! haha. :-l
I haven’t been taking too many pictures either but I do have one of the awesome muffins I baked a few days ago. Zucchini Spelt from ED&BV- they were really more like banana muffins and they were super moist and delicious!
I also made some more Super Charge Me Cookies with goji berries, pumpkin seeds and carob chips (no pic).
I have been having a lot of smoothies lately- mango and spinach seem to be in a lot of them. I just love smoothies!
And THIS is why I have been so busy…
Sienna is now REALLY crawling and pulling up on everything. Lots of bumps on the head! She’s lucky she’s so cute… ![]()

You TOTALLY have the best (and cutest!) excuse ever to not be posting as much. I can only imagine how busy and crazy your days are!!!!!!! No worries!
That smoothie looks so intriguing because I would have never in a million years thought of the spinach combo! Do you actually taste the spinach?? Its so pretty and green I might have to give it a try!
CUTE CUTE CUTE!!! What proportions do you use in your spinach smoothie? Looks yummy!
Jenna and Kath- You both must try spinach in your smoothie’s! I even put it in Darren’s and he doesn’t mind! It doesn’t produce a strong flavor- the fruit defiantly takes over. If anything it makes the smoothie taste more *fresh*- I use about a cup or so for 2 portions (sometimes I drink both portions!). I have also used kale but I prefer spinach- kale doesn’t break down as easily so it ends up being a bit chunky!
Delicious! I love zucchini muffins. Once I get my hands on some spelt flour I’m making these!
I’ve never had a green smoothie Not that it scares me, it just never really occurred to me. Who doesn’t love spinach? =)
Mmm, the zucchini spelt muffins and super-charge-me cookies look heavenly!! can’t go wrong with ED&BV recipes.
My whole family drinks green smoothies a few times per week - we love ‘em!! spinach, bananas, hempmilk, and frozen blueberries = divine.
Sienna is just TOO PRECIOUS!! I can’t say it enough :0D
She is so adorable! And what a cute age to be!
Your smooth looks amazing! I never thought of adding spinach– I always seem to stick to berries and bananas. I’m going to try it next time!
Sienna is soooooooooooooo cute (and that is really compliment from me because I tend to shy away from babies and I want to hug this little cutey pie!)
and that smoothie. ROAR. I want ! I want !
WOW those muffins look so big and fluffy - I don’t think I fill the cups in the muffin pan full enough. Or perhaps it is because I use so many oats all the time that it doesn’t fluff up like it would if I used flours only. They look delicious! I will have to try this recipe sometime.
Wow your muffins look outstanding! They really are just so plump and perfect! I’ve been meaning to try a muffin recipe this weekend…zucchini or banana or pumpkin or carrot! haha
And I never would of thought of adding Spinach to smoothies- but I bet with the fresh fruit, it probably still tastes great! Thanks for the idea!
And your daughter is so cute!! I wish I could babysit for you haha!
Those muffins sound great! That’s a cool idea. I’ve never made smoothies with vegetables. I haven’t had mango or kiwi in soo long.
She is so adorable!!
I just wanted to say I like your blog, those cookies look yummy, & your baby is beautiful!
come back, come back!
I want a baby! I can’t wait for the days when I won’t have to go to school or work - I’ll just get to stay home all day and play! (Haha, actually, I’m sure it’s not that easy… But it’s a nice idea!) Your smoothie looks so nice and refreshing - with that mango and kiwi together, and the greens to round it out! And goodness, those zucchini muffins! You prove that smoothies and muffins are better with vegetables in them!
Hope all is well, Brianne!! I’m worried!!
I’ve never tried zucchini muffins, but after seeing your pictures, I’m officially inspired to try and bake some! The green looks so pretty with the brown~~
And the spinach smoothie looks exciting! I’ve never had smoothies with anything other than fruits, so this is awesome! Definitely a good and exciting way to incorporate more veggies into the diet
hope all is well with you! i miss your beautiful posts
