I watched Dr Oz on Oprah too!
I love him!

I am going to try to start cutting my multi in half...I might do a bunch at a time and then I won't have to remember each day.

I also went out and bought 1000IU's of vit D supplements- it really IS a small vitamin! just tiny. I never see the sun (it feels!) in winter so I definitely think I was/am lacking in this vitamin. I also dont drink milk.

I also take calcium with magnesium supplements (about 1- 300mg a day). And 1 vitamin C a day.

Also, Does anyone know what you should use to ground flax?

Veg- That would be great! I'd love to see what a hight raw-vegan diet looks like. You can find my email in the right hand corner next to "home". I love how lara bars are basically just dates and nuts- simple can be fabulous!

Jenna- I felt so guilty too! I didn't tell anyone about my meat eating episode either... I wasn't ready to lose that part of my identity! I hate to admit it too- but the main reason I eat meat is for convenience purposes as well! No one I know is a vegetarian nor do they understand why I would not want to eat meat. I feel terrible for the animals- I HATE conventional farming so I try and buy only organic. Unfortunately organic meat is REALLY expensive so I can't afford to buy it all the time but we do buy organic dairy and eggs. I know what you mean about the daily battles with yourself- I really wish it was easier to live a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle. As of right now I am trying to eat less animal products especially when I'm at home. I've almost completely cut out drinking milk but I still love my plain yogurt! I'm interested to hear what Veggiegirl thinks about organic dairy? I can do without drinking milk no problem but cheese and yogurt are a lot harder to go with out. I feel like I am kind of rambling but I feel the same way you do, Jenna!

You are so funny...my vegetarianism officially ended the night my boyfriend and I were at an engagement party and, after one too many glasses of wine, I gave into the chicken nugget temptation!!! For about a month after that I felt so guilty and didn't tell ANYONE! But then..I went to France and ate a ham sandwich, so all was lost.

I know how you feel..wanting to try again. I never really eat meat on my own and much prefer how I feel after not eating it! I love the idea of being a vegetarian and I hate what they do to animals...it's just so hard! I hate to sound like I'm not a vegetarian for convenience purposes---but Ryan isn't one and none of our friends are one..and when I go home and we go out its just really difficult. Plus, in the future when Ryan and I live together how will I cook the meals if I am one and he isn't. I go through these battles everyday! I don't know what to do...

Jenna- I'm not currently a vegetarian. I was for a about a year but that came to an end after a burger encounter (I started going out more, alcohol got involved... but have thought about trying vegetarianism again)! I'm not really a huge meat fan and often I will have days without any at all... especially if we don't cook dinner. I read you also have dabbled in vegetarianism.. what made you go back to meat? I really like to experiment with vegetarian/vegan dishes and products. I have yet to really try making raw food- but I want to! Of course I loovve lara bars.

Lisa- Sorry I did read your comment! I totally meant to answer it. I really like Annie's Natural brand (http://www.consorzio.com/)- yesterday I had the Cesar. They are all natural and organic- I used to buy Kraft but I realized I can't pronounce all the ingredients so that kind of put me off! Of course regular old olive oil and vinegar is great too!

Kath- Another Dr. Oz lover! I too already take a muli-vitamin but I probably wont be cutting it in half! I used to take more expensive ones that you need to take 3 times a day but due to finances I'm just taking a one a day! I also already take cod liver oil daily because taking DHA makes your breastmilk even better (and of course its good for me as well!). I may look into a vit. D supplement because I am inside all the time in winter... and I have a calcium supplement but I never take it (after I watched the show I did)! I wish I could take more supplements but they can get so pricey!

Veg- I'd looove to see one of your daily menu's. Would you post one? I think it is so great your vegan- it certainly takes a lot of dedication! I defiantly love my hemp milk, almond milk and nut butters... you have great taste =)

Brit- You certainly wont see a difference in the scale (if you do it is probably just bloating). It takes 3500 calories (in addition to the calories you need to live) to make a pound of fat so I think your fine! It is pretty normal to go over board sometimes. Don't beat yourself up- just eat like you normally do the next day and you'll be golden. I'm glad my post helped you to talk about it. it feels kind of good doesn't it?

Never commented before but have been following the blog since the beginning! i saw a few days ago when you mentioned that you had eaten some peanut butter and cookies and that it felt liberating to write about it. I absolutely don't know why......but after my boyfriend left i finished the whole pan of cornbread from dinner! is binging every once in awhile like this normal? i don't restrict myself, and i rarely ever do something like this! also.....i'm not really going to see a difference on the scale after one day, am i?

I watched Dr. Oz!! Love him. The husband makes fun of me because I try to beat him to his advice before he says it :) Are you going to take all those vitamins? I take a multi, but I'm not sure about all the others. And I certainly don't have the drive to get a knife and cut open my vitamin each morning!
