Sleepy Morning
I have just been so tired lately! I can never seem to get enough sleep. I have always needed my sleep but I can only seem to fit in around 7 hrs… I think I need more like 9! Sienna is also sleeping in this morning which is fine by me!! I wish she would do so more often. For breakfast I had steel cut oats again (pre made and microwaved with a bit of almond milk). Today I topped it with red pear + flax + walnuts + maple syrup. Wow it was gooood. I also had a cup of lemon green tea and I am sipping on another now (I’ve been inspired by Dr. Oz)!
Have a wonderful morning!

Hi! Just found your site through Kath’s blog. Just wanted to say awesome work on your blog and on having such a gorgeous little one! Keep up the healthy eating!
ahh, I do hope that you will be able to catch up on sleep soon; but at least you’re definitely on a roll with your breakfast meals!! I love the addition of the pear to your oatmeal - yum!!
happy wednesday!!
p.s. I will email you one of my sample meal-plans later today - shall I do today’s meal-plan? yesterday’s? any preference? haha :0)
veggiegirl-would you email me a meal plan as well….perhaps a couple would do me some good? thanks for taking the time
I want one too, Veggie Girl! Thanks so much!
sorry–i posted under “wow that’s a beautiful pear”! haha
my email (veggiegirl) is hopekrause@gmail.com
Mine is Jenniferaweber@gmail.com
I’m excited! I’m totally enthralled by vegetarianism (if you can’t tell)!
ps- Brianne your oats look AMAZING as usual…..I love adding maple syrup to mine as well!
your meals all look so amazing and delicious! just wondering, what brand of tea is the lemon green tea you’re drinking here? i am always looking for a new tea to try!
**hk and jenna (and brianne!):
haha, I’d be happy to email a sample meal-plan to you guys, but just as a disclaimer, I follow a high-raw vegan diet (I eat 75%-80% raw, 15%-20% cooked foods, each day) - so you’ll see quite a bit of/mostly nuts, vegetables, and fruits in my day - so it’s definitely a step above vegetarianism/”regular” (blah, I hate that term, “regular”) veganism :0)
Veggie Girl, I know that your already emailling your meal plans to everyone else, but would you mind sending it to me as well. I dont reall like meat at all, but have a hard time finding sources of protein without it. When I tried to go vegi about a year ago, I kept getting dizzy and migraines all the time, not sure why. Id love to see what a day in your life of eating looks like though. My email is annie31873@gmail.com
Thanks, I would really appreciate it!
Carla- thanks for the compliments!
Veggiegirl- I look forward to seeing your menu! Looks like you’ll have a small mailing list! =)
Courtney- It was the brand Numi (numiteas.com)- i bought a box of their assorted teas. I highly recommend doing this… you get to try so many different types and if you don’t like it you didn’t waste money on a whole box! The lemon green was really good. =)
no problem, annie! I will send some your way as well. as for your dizziness though, have you had any blood work/medical tests done, to rule out any underlying health issues?
Thanks VeggieGirl..I do know that I am iron deficient, but I take a multi vitamin that has 100% of you DV in it, and I also eat a lot of foods that provide it. Ive never realy questioned my doc about it though. Might be a smart thing to do huh..
Annie, your body can only absorb so much iron (or any nutrient, for that matter) at a time, so you may not be getting enough even with the fortified foods; and iron is best-absorbed when consumed with foods that contain vitamin C. definitely go over all this with your doctor!!
Could you email me a menu also…..beva47@yahoo.com
The pear WOW
Brianna your food looks so good. The pictures are really awesome
